How can we certify career practitioners for practice while at the same time respecting the rich and wide diversity of career-related experience that applicants bring to the certification process? This session starts by examining the process of prior learning assessment from a university perspective and then explores the implications of adapting such ideas to professional certification in career development. Participants will be expected to help examine the implications.
