Youth and the WTO

Abstract

AU helped sponsor the YouthInside project to bring youth involvement to the World Trade Organization (WTO) 6th Ministerial Conference in Hong Kong in December, 2005. With project goals being to educate, inspire, and engage youth in international trade topics in the context of the WTO, AU student, Matthew Huebert, will present areas of youth involvement and personal insights based on his experience at the conference: A youth perspective of the WTO, including the challenges in bridging differences between business and environmental developmental perspectives, YouthInside: What is it? How did it start? Where to go from here? The potential for similar projects to enhance education.
