mLearning: Theory and Practice

Abstract

Is there any substance to the current hype about mobile learning? Marguerite Koole (Instructional Media Analyst) will discuss how mobile devices enable access to a rich environment of information and people, thereby extending the context within which individuals think and learn. Karen Stauffer (Programmer Analyst) will show how the AU School for COmputing and Information Systems (SCIS) delivers content using device detection and style sheets for different types of mobile devices. Feedback from studnets will be shared. Dr. Mohamed Ally (Director, SCIS) will summarize global initiatives on mLearning and future developments at AU.
