SeikatsuConsumer Coop: Scaling up food system transformation?

Abstract

This presentation was given at the Co-operatives and Local Food Infrastructure conference hosted by Alberta Agriculture and Food on November 26, 2009. It presents research conducted by the BC-Alberta Social Economy Research Alliance (BALTA) on the Seikatsu Consumer Co-operative in Japan and explores its relevance for local food system transformation in Alberta and British Columbia, Canada.
