dc.description.abstract | This powerpoint presentation was presented at the 2008 symposium of the BC-Alberta Social Economy Research Alliance (BALTA) and reviews the results to date of BALTA's research in support of golden mussel aquaculture industry development with British Columbia coastal First Nations communities. This research has focused on three areas: Mussel Aquaculture Industry Development Experiences In Different Jurisdictions; Lessons Learned From Systematic Replication of Social Enterprises; and Best Practices in Social and Private Enterprise Franchising. The presentation also describes the community economic development and social economy model being developed. | en |
